After the lovely visit to Kollam, the Southern backwaters and Alappuzha beach I returned to Trivandrum to my hotel. For my stay in Trivandrum I had booked a hotel in advance. The hotel deals offer helped me in booking Hotel Palm leaves beach Resort at a bargain price. It is one of the best hotels in the city and has a vintage style of architecture surrounded by coconut groves.
The resort is located near the Marthoma Church. The famous Shangumugham beach is located near the Palm leaves Beach resort Trivandrum. The hotel stands at a distance of about 20 km from the International airport of Trivandrum. The staffs at the hotel are very friendly and hospitable. There are plenty of services and features for the guests at the resort. One can take sightseeing trips by the hotel, night fishing activities and adventure trekking to nearby places.
The resort also arranges for houseboats to enjoy the backwaters of Kerala. Guests can also experience the traditional Ayurvedic massages which are arranged by the resort. The resort also has its own in house restaurant known as Golden Sand Kerala which specialises in range of delicacies from North Indian to Chinese and from Continental to local Kerala cuisine.
There are plenty of recreational facilities for the guests like volleyball, swimming and other water sports. The private balconies of every room offer a stunning view of the Sea. The rooms of the hotel are divided into Standard resort room and Deluxe resorts. Non AC rooms are also available for the guests. Each room of the hotel is equipped with all sorts of basic amenities like television, satellite channels and desks. 24 hour room service is made available for everyone at the hotel.
I was quite happy with the Palm leaves Beach resort and its services. It is certainly one of the best hotels in the city to stay at. The rustic setting of this resort and the exotic surroundings makes the stay for any guest a memorable experience.
After spending a night at my hotel, I was ready to visit the next place in my itinerary which was the Eravikulam National park which is located in the Idukki district of Kerala.
